Adaptation Strategy to Climate Vulnerability for the Quirimbas National Park and for Primeiras and Segundas Environmental protection Area

After a deep literary review, a workshop was conducted for both areas, in order to identify and prioritize climate vulnerabilities and identify intervention measures and adaptation to climate change

After previous specific studies and a background review to assess climate change vulnerabilities in Quirimbas National Park (QNP) ecosystems and in Primeiras & Segundas Environmental Protection Area (PSEPA), a stakeholder workshop was held for each area, in order to identify and prioritize those climate vulnerabilities and to identify the intervention measures for climate changes adaption.

Afterwards, a report was prepared to systematically organize the information gathered during the implementation of the QNP and the PSEPA climate vulnerability assessments, and the possible adaption interventions to provide the potential donors the information they need to fund future projects on climate change adaptions in those areas.

Biodinâmica has assisted WWF in the facilitation of the final stakeholders workshops for both areas, and was also involved in the preparation of the PSEPA workshop. Our specialists prepared the final report regarding the options for adapting to climate change in the PSEPA and in the QNP.
