Capacity building in the environmental characterization of water sampling sites

In this capacity building activity, Biodinâmica in partnership with the IIA and LaLa has taught the module of environmental characterization of water sampling sites and how to georeference them.

This project, funded by the National Research Fund (FNI), is a partnership between the Institute for Research in Water (IIA), Biodinâmica and the Water Analysis Laboratory LaLa. The proposed research project is composed of a multidisciplinary programme of work involving a number of methodological approaches, as well as a technical and capacity building component. Its general objectives are:

  • To test a working methodology through a pilot test, for further evaluation of drinking water quality of suburban areas of Maputo and the consequent plan of action measures;
  • To organize procedures for the IIA laboratory water analysis;
  • To provide the IIA’s technical staff skills for the ​​sampling and analytical control of waters.
