This one-week workshop is the result of UniLúrio’s and Biodinâmica’s cooperation protocol and is targeted not only to QNP’s technicians and rangers, but also to lecturers and students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Lúrio.
This workshop aims to assist the Quirimbas National Park (QNP) management, by developing a broad scope workshop towards the understanding, study and promotion of the sustainable use of biodiversity at the QNP. The workshop is mainly targeted to technicians and rangers from the QNP. Additionally, lecturers and students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Lúrio (located in Pemba) will also be involved.
The workshop’s rationale is to give practical knowledge to the park’s staff in order to facilitate and improve their daily work, as well as to provide the understanding of tools and methodologies that can be useful to the park´s management. The inclusion of an academic group, such as students and a few lecturers, is due to the fact that they are the potential new park’s staff members, and as such the scope of this workshop can be of great value in their future contribution to the park´s management.
