On the past June 4th, Biodinamica’s team joined ‘Operação CACO’ and collaborated in the biggest environmental awareness event ever held in Mozambique.
‘Operação CACO’ is an environmental awareness initiative of the Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development (MITADER), in partnership with the Ntumbuluku Environmental Education Co-op , the Limpa Moçambique and partners all over the country, which intends to draw attention to the garbage problem of Mozambique. It was held on the last 4th of June and consisted in a garbage collection campaign in several points of the country.
Biodinâmica joined this initiative in Pemba and collaborated with the Municipality (through ‘Eu Amo o Meu Bairro’ project) in the cleaning of the Paquite neighbourhood beach. We also contributed with gloves and protection masks to the 500 participants.
It was collected a considerable amount of waste, in several points of the beach, that the Municipality took to the dump afterwards.
