Biodinâmica was invited to be present in a meeting to report the results in the creation of the resilience of Pemba regarding climate changes impacts
The USAID program to the adaption of coastal cities to climate changes is being implemented in the cities of Pemba, Nacala and Quelimane.
This meeting occurred in the 15th of August of 2016, in “Sala das Obras Públicas” in Pemba, and had as a goal the presentation of the results about the assessments carried out in the city, namely the tools that have been used to plan and to transform the city of Pemba, the current level of promptitude and its resilience in relation to the impacts of climate changes.
During this event, several entities were present, namely: county representatives, local government sectors, NGO’s, academic institutions, civil society organizations, communities representatives and private sector.
This meeting allowed thus, a better understanding by the different actors of the current situation in Pemba concerning climate changes, making possible theMove to Trash creation of synergies between those actors, in way to achieve a communal action regarding a progressive change of the current situation in the city.
