We welcome with open arms the two Portuguese interns who have just arrived at Biodinâmica, from the 21st edition of the INOV Contact program
We cheerfully welcome Maria and Mariana, two young Portuguese interns from the INOV Contacto program at Biodinâmica. The experience that awaits them in the upcoming months will undoubtedly be very enriching, both personally and professionally. Maria and Mariana are willing to learn every day and will be able to share their expertise with the rest of the Biodinâmica’s team, which will bring more ideas and new visions to our company.
Maria is 24 and comes from Matosinhos (Northern Portugal). In 2014, she graduated in biology by University of Porto (FCUP), then continued her studies in biodiversity and marine conservation, with EMBC+ masters (International Master of Science in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation) by the University of Ghent, ending in June 2016.
Mariana is 26 and comes from Aveiro (Northern Portugal). She has a degree in Biology from the University of Aveiro (UA) since 2013. She began in that same year the Master’s Degree in Applied Ecology in the UA. Her master’s thesis was on Primates’ Ecology in the Quirimbas National Park, so she already lived in Pemba for a year already (2014-2015).
This opportunity comes from INOV Contacto program, under a protocol established between Biodinâmica and AICEP Portugal Global EPE – Agency for investment and external commerce,just like last year Claúdio and Joana that came under the same program, to our offices in Pemba (see more here). This program is managed and implemented by AICEP and supported by the European Union through the ESF / POISE and is part of the National Plan for implementing a Youth Guarantee (PNI-GJ)
For 6 months, Maria and Mariana will be part of Biodinâmica, all its team and the innumerable areas of activity of the company. They will provide support in proposals’ preparation, in commercial and logistical disclosure and will participate in projects, both in the preparation and they will will to work together with the team in the field trips and in writing reports.
